Accounting Assistant Role
We are seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive financial records.
* Performing monthly account reconciliations;
* Regularly performing bank reconciliations;
* Assisting with Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) and Business Activity Statements (BAS);
* Data entry and management;
* Maintenance of computer-based administration file;
* Maintenance of client files;
* Processing and lodging Superannuation;
* Payroll;
* Support and mentor junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in Xero. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
* Providing exceptional customer service to clients;
* Developing and maintaining relationships with clients;
* Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations;
* Continuously improving processes and procedures to increase efficiency;
* Collaborating with colleagues to achieve team goals.
