Connecting Lawyers with Opportunities in Financial Services & Real Estate - Senior Consultant @ Beacon Legal
Beacon Legal have partnered with a high-growth Australian fintech in their search for a new Legal Counsel. They are looking to hire someone at the 2–6 PQE level, to be based in Adelaide.
I am seeking a proactive and commercially minded in-house lawyer to support a fast-moving and expanding legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of financial services, regulatory and commercial matters within a business that is reshaping Australia’s lending landscape through technology and innovation.
About the Role
* Provide legal and compliance advice across the business on a wide range of matters, including consumer credit, financial services regulation, privacy and dispute resolution.
* Advise on the legal and regulatory implications of new products, services and features, partnering closely with product and project teams.
* Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements, including referral, funding, commercial partnership and service provider arrangements.
* Review marketing and promotional materials to ensure regulatory compliance.
* Support corporate governance requirements, including board and senior management reporting.
* Assist with compliance initiatives, investigations and training across the business.
* Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory developments impacting the financial services sector.
What type of person will be successful?
* Admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
* 2–6 years’ PQE, gained in private practice or in-house.
* Experience advising on financial services, consumer credit or broader regulatory frameworks (or a strong interest in this area).
* Commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset.
