People and Culture Manager – Australia

Location: Melbourne • Full time • Posted Today

Overview

As a People & Culture Manager, you will play a critical role in translating the organization's goals into tangible people initiatives and providing strong internal support. You will drive local People and Culture excellence, process improvement, and collaborate with key stakeholders to gain insights into their needs, challenges, and opportunities, and offer tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

* Creating and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and company policies.
* Supporting the business with end-to-end HR processes such as performance reviews, employee surveys, contract generation, benefit administration, employee engagement, and employment relations matters.
* Providing the management team and staff with comprehensive, professional HR advice including legislative and contractual interpretation.
* Supporting the creation and execution of Employer Branding and EVP strategy.
* Coordinating and supporting Occupational Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (OHSW) activities.
* Managing induction, onboarding, performance reviews, grievance procedures, performance management, and exit management.
* Initiating and implementing programs to support employee engagement and foster a high‐performance culture.
* Monitoring salary trends, managing remuneration reviews, and internal movement processes.
* Designing, consulting on, coordinating, and managing workforce planning and development to address organization structure, job design, succession planning, employee retention, and change management.
* Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
* Recommending and implementing employee relations practices to promote a positive employer‐employee relationship, high morale, and engagement.
* Coaching managers on employee relations activities including performance management, conduct, behavior, and grievances.
* Undertaking or managing workplace investigations as required.
* Managing the full recruitment lifecycle for Australia, from job posting through to offer stage.
* Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to talent management.
* Providing a smooth and positive experience for candidates through timely communication and feedback.
* Coordinating interviews, managing follow‐ups, and maintaining professional communication with applicants.
* Building and maintaining a talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
* Conducting police checks and background verification on shortlisted candidates, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Administering aptitude and skills assessments to evaluate candidates' capabilities.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field (beneficial).
* Certification in HR or related field.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
* Detail‐oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends.
* Strategic thinking and problem‐solving abilities.
* Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Approachable, authentic, commercial, emotionally mature with sound judgment and a focus on solutions.
