Job Title: Primary Healthcare Professional
As a primary healthcare professional, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare services.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality primary healthcare services to patients, including preparation for and assistance with medical procedures.
* Perform triage, pre-screening, health checks, and health assessments to identify and address patient needs.
* Administer GP Management Plans and clinical procedures, such as immunizations, wound care, ECGs, and spirometry, under the guidance of senior medical professionals.
* Manage cold chain processes, maintain hygiene protocols, and implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Maintain accurate patient records and manage recall systems to optimize patient outcomes.
* Support Medicare billing processes and collaborate closely with CQI and Aboriginal Health Practitioners to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor and manage clinic stock, equipment, and consumables to maintain operational efficiency.
* Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager to plan clinic workload and allocate resources effectively.
Requirements:
* Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Nursing degree with current AHPRA registration.
* Minimum 2 years' experience in clinical nursing, preferably within Aboriginal health or general practice.
* Strong understanding of chronic disease management and preventative healthcare principles.
* Excellent clinical assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner, adhering to culturally safe care models.
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Current First Aid Certificate and valid Driver's Licence.
* Familiarity with Medicare Billing (MBS items) is highly desirable.
