Our housing support team is seeking a dedicated professional to fill the role of Housing Support Worker. This position plays a vital role in our mission to provide immediate assistance and long-term solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
This position requires strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and build trust. The successful candidate will have experience working in community development, human services, or a related field. They will also possess a range of qualifications, including first aid and CPR certificates, as well as a working with children blue card and NDIS worker screening check.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, with excellent time management skills and IT competency. They will be able to maintain accurate case notes, support plans, and brokerage reports, and network with internal and external services as required.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
* Engaging with clients to understand their needs and develop a tailored plan to support them
* Providing intensive support to clients to help them access short-term accommodation and other essential services
* Working collaboratively with service providers and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of support services
* Developing and implementing strategies to assist clients in gaining safe and secure housing
* Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress
