Greatland (ASX:GGP, AIM:GGP) is a leading Australian gold and copper producer, operating the Telfer gold mine and developing the Havieron gold-copper project.

As a Resource Geologist, you'll play a key role in evaluating and estimating mineral resources. Your geological expertise will directly influence critical investment and operational decisions.

This 12-month contract offers an prospect to work across both open pit and underground operations, with a strong emphasis on 3D modelling, statistical analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse geological and assay data to estimate and classify mineral resources.
- Apply geostatistical methods to generate robust resource estimates.
- Oversee QAQC processes for data collection, sampling, logging, and reconciliation.
- Develop 3D geological models using Leapfrog or similar software.
- Prepare technical reports and resource statements in compliance with JORC standards.
- Collaborate with exploration, mining engineering, and metallurgy teams to optimise resource development strategies.
- Identify and assess geological risks, recommending mitigation strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends and integrate innovative software tools and practices.
- Provide geological input to feasibility studies, due diligence, and mine planning.

About You:

- Degree-qualified in Geology or a related discipline.
- 3-5+ years' experience in mineral resource estimation.
- Strong skills in geostatistics, particularly in variography and kriging-based methods.
- Post graduate qualification in geostatistics is desirable.
- Proficient with Leapfrog, Snowden Supervisor, and Vulcan.
- Experience in both Open Pit and Underground mining environments.
- Familiar with JORC Code reporting and resource classification standards.
- Strong knowledge of geological databases and QAQC best practices.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary team to support exploration and operations.

- Timely updates of resource models aligned with new drilling and assay data.
- Compliance with JORC Code and internal governance standards.
- Effective use of software tools and scripting to drive efficiency.

- Strong internal communication and contribution to project and operational decisions.
