WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The role of Landside Services Officer at Townsville Airport is reporting directly to the Landside Services Operations Manager. The role will start of as a Casual Employee working 20 - 40 plus hours per week with a view to becoming permanent in the future. This role requires team members to work shifts: - Early's lates & some nights
The primary purpose of the Landside Services Officer is to provide a high-level of customer service for any car parking related enquiries / system issues, operate kerbside and patrolling, reporting observations and awareness of the Landside areas of the Airport. The Landside Services Officer will optimise customers experience with the ability to assist customers with any required information to help in getting in and out of the Airport car parks, Kerbside locations via intercom calls and face-to-face interaction.
Duties include taking phone calls regarding car park related queries, monitoring CCTV, notification, and incident reporting, use of multiple IT systems and general onsite customer service and information provision, Kerbside duties and Security observation and awareness.
Ability to keep calm and provide concise and specific information is needed, the use of handheld radios will be required with calm clear spoken communications being key. On the job training will be provided after the first days induction.
All applicants will need to be physically fit 24/7 availability You must have good Mon-Sun availability and be prepared to attend work at short notice when required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Minimum (1) years demonstrated experience in a customer service role.
* Excellent oral and written English communication skills
* Professional phone manner, able to work shifts.
* High levels of computer literacy and data entry - specifically Microsoft, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to learn new software programs effectively and efficiently
* Ability to multitask and prioritise with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent interpersonal skills (approachable, positive, motivated attitude)
* Initiative, common sense and fast decision-making skills
* Ability to trouble shoot and work under pressure
* Be willing and able to undertake further training such as First aid
* Ability to complete satisfactory ASIC check if required.
