Based at our Christmas Creek operations, this leadership role offers an opportunity to contribute to key drilling and earthworks programs that support long-term planning and resource development.Key Responsibilities Adhere to Fortescue’s vision and values to inspire alarge team with the support of the SuperintendentMaintain a strong field presence to maintain the visible leadership withina large team, promoting safe work practices from contractors and FMG staff with the support of the Drill Compliance and HSES teamsDevelop, manage, and execute drilling and earthworks schedulesto provide timely data delivery for model generation required by the different planning teams (2YP, 10YP and LOM)Liaise with different stakeholders (Resource Estimation, Geometallurgy, Dewatering, Mine Planning teams both site and Perth based) to ensure works are completed as efficiently as possibleCoordinate the activities in carrying out the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterlywork plans and ensure that they are consistently aligned with meeting operational targetsSupervise logging and sampling of RC programs, with the support of QAQC geologistsValidation of data, reports and geological models, with the support of Project GeologistsContribute to continuous improvement of the department by identifying and implementing opportunities for improvementSupport the Superintendent in meeting company objectivesQualifications and Experience Enthusiastic person seeking to develop their career in a world class company with a passion for innovation and technical excellencePositive attitude and calm under pressure, with well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsSolutions based mindset requiring critical thinking and proactivityProven experience in a leadership position, with current S26 competencies or enrolmentSolid understanding of RC drilling, QAQC, downhole geophysics and earthworksCompetent with Vulcan, ArcGIS and acQuire.
