Your work will support the E2E Service Journey crew, that is responsible for the Disputes Journey, the Deceased Estates and Authorities Journeys. We are seeking a Staff Engineer with a strong front-end engineering background to lead technical excellence and delivery maturity for the Authorities squad, supporting the NetBank Next platform. This is a senior technical leadership role, ideal for someone who combines deep web UI expertise (Next.js, React, Node.js) with hands-on delivery, architecture leadership, and a passion for mentoring in a regulated, customer-centric environment. We’re interested in hearing from people who: Possesses full-cycle engineering experience: ideation, technical design, build, testing (unit, integration, system), release, and ongoing maintenance. Can architect, design, and develop robust solutions - lead by example in coding, code reviews, and deployment. Owns decisions on UI architecture (routing, rendering, state management), component design, and design system adoption for NetBank Next Can set and evolve squad technical direction, ensuring alignment with NetBank Next frameworks (Next.js, Node.js) and modern engineering standards. Actively embraces and integrates AI-driven solutions (including LLMs and agentic AI approaches) to enhance our engineering workflows and product capabilities. Provides technical governance and guidance throughout the complete solution delivery lifecycle. Works independently and drive a culture where quality, excellence and openness are championed. Design System & Accessibility: Design tokens, ARIA patterns, semantic HTML, accessibility testing (axe), WCAG 2.2 AA. Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), feature flags, canary/blue-green. Observability: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Frontend RUM (OpenTelemetry web, custom beacons), error tracking (Sentry or equivalent). Security: CSP, Subresource Integrity, OAuth/OIDC flows, session management, secure storage, threat modeling. Data & Events: Relational (Postgres, Oracle), NoSQL (MongoDB), data lakes, event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ). Quality & Testing: Establish frontend testing strategy (unit, integration, contract, visual regression, e2e) and promote CI for web (build-time checks, bundle analysis, Lighthouse in pipelines).
