English Teacher – TASC Level 3
Join MacKillop Catholic College Teach English – TASC Level 3, inspire senior students, and thrive in a supportive, values-driven team.
MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary College on Hobart's Eastern Shore with a strong commitment to academic excellence and pastoral care. Our college community is built on strong values, and we strive to create an inclusive environment where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential. In ****, we introduced Grades 11 and 12 and are expanding our senior program in ****. To support this growth, we are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our English Department.
Responsibilities
Teach English across all secondary year levels, including English Level 3.
Deliver engaging, student-centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment.
Ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative pedagogy.
Support curriculum development and the success of our English Department.
Qualifications
A proven record in teaching English at a senior level.
Qualifications to teach TASC Level 3 using research-based best pedagogical practices.
Excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.
Ability to create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments.
Experience integrating technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff.
Demonstrated team-working ability, planning and implementing effective teaching and learning.
A commitment to ignite a passion for learning while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education.
