MacKillop Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary College on Hobart's Eastern Shore with a strong commitment to academic excellence and pastoral care. In ****, we introduced Grades 11 and 12 and are expanding our senior program in ****. To support this growth, we are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our English Department.
Responsibilities
Teach English across all secondary year levels, including English Level 3.
Deliver engaging, student-centred teaching within a Catholic learning environment.
Ensure every student reaches their full potential through high-quality, collaborative pedagogy.
Support curriculum development and the success of our English Department.
Qualifications
A proven record in teaching English at a senior level.
Qualifications to teach TASC Level 3 using research-based best pedagogical practices.
Excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being.
Ability to create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments.
Experience integrating technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences.
Strong interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff.
Demonstrated team-working ability, planning and implementing effective teaching and learning.
A commitment to ignite a passion for learning while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education.
