The team
The Enterprise Services Group consists of Finance, Procurement, Property and Contracts, Performance Reporting and Planning and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. This role sits within the newly formed Procurement, Property and Contracts (PP&C;) team.
The PP&C; team is a consolidated procurement Centre of Excellence to propel efficient, visible procurement and contract management.
The PP&C; team provides procurement services, support and advice to ASIC stakeholders and suppliers, category management and support, oversight of high value/risk procurement, probity and governance advisory and enablement services to ensure cost effective, value for money procurement processes that comply with the Commonwealth Regulatory environment.
As a Strategic Procurement Data Analyst, You Will
- Drive the collection, analysis, and dissemination of procurement data to improve risk visibility, performance, and decision‑making.
- Develop and implement a reporting roadmap aligned with procurement transformation and enablement strategies.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., ERP/TechOne, SharePoint, finance systems, data lake) to provide end‑to‑end visibility of procurement activities.
- Lead the design, development, and automation of dashboards and reports in Power BI (or equivalent tools), adhering to ASIC's design and data governance frameworks.
- Perform complex data analysis and predictive modelling to enable effective procurement strategy and contract management.
- Consolidate data evidence to support procurement category management plans.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, the Chief Data and Analytics Office, and IT to ensure the integrity and strategic value of procurement data assets.
- Mentor team members to develop procurement data analysis capability.
About You
Bring your expertise to a role where data meets strategy. We're seeking a seasoned data analyst with a strong procurement background to transform insights into action. With over a decade of experience in government procurement and a proven track record in ERP systems like SAP or TechOne, you'll leverage Power BI and enterprise reporting to create dashboards, build data models, and turn complex datasets into clear strategic solutions. Demonstrated experience in generating reports using TechOne and Power BI will be highly regarded.
