An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercial leader to be the CEO of St Giles Society Ltd, one of Tasmania’s largest, non-government organisations, at a time of transformational change. This role is not your standard NFP CEO role, it requires a balance of commercial nous, tenacity and passion for the services provided. St Giles is a dynamic and multi-faceted organisation supporting people of all ages living with disability with a wide range of needs through a highly valued team of over 200 people working across the state. Visit www.stgiles.org.au for further information on the organisation.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will manage the overall operations of St Giles in an effective and sustainable manner while providing leadership and inspiration to the workforce in pursuit of the strategic goals. Based in Launceston, the Chief Executive Officer will be foundational in shaping the strategy for the next phase of St Giles, and lead the organisation through a period of transformation, sustainable growth, service excellence and operational resilience.
Other key responsibilities include oversight of the organisation’s financial operations and continuing to build the public profile through strategic positioning, networking and representation within the community, government and other partners.
The successful applicant will demonstrate proven success at a senior leadership level, including experience leading organisational transformation and change, together with contemporary leadership and people management skills. This role will suit a strategic thinker, with a client orientated focus, exceptional communication skills and the ability to build collaborative working relationships, underpinned by strong commercial acumen. Strong skills in business operations, financial management, and a commitment to good governance is also required. A working knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and/or broader allied health service delivery would be an advantage.
