About the Role:
We’re on the lookout for a Crane Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic / Fitter / Technician to join our Darwin-based team. This role is hands-on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys the challenge of field work and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. You’ll be working on a mix of cranes, lifting gear, and heavy machinery — with training provided along the way. This position may also suit individuals seeking a short-term arrangement. We are dedicated to upskilling our staff members and opening doors for new opportunities. Through hands-on training, certification programs, and mentorship our mechanics will gain new skills, a broader knowledge and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues on equipment.
- Deliver high-quality customer service in diverse environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
- Perform tasks independently and as part of a team-oriented team.
- Complete maintenance reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and undertake new tasks or training.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diesel Mechanic or Fitter certification.
- Crane experience (desirable but not required).
- Forklift, EWP, and high-risk crane licenses (highly desirable).
- 3rd and 4th-year apprentices are encouraged to apply.
- Above-award wages offered, and negotiable based on experience.
- Additional site allowances and higher rates for remote work.

Location:
This position is based in Darwin, NT, with occasional travel to remote locations.
