Programmed Maintenance Services – Burswood WA
$38 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Turf & Horticulture Supervisor to join a well-established parks and gardens team based in the Burswood Park area.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a motivated professional with strong horticultural knowledge and proven supervisory experience.
About the Role
You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing horticultural and turf maintenance programs while leading a team to deliver high-quality outcomes in a safe and efficient manner.
Key responsibilities
* Coordinating and delivering turf and horticultural maintenance programs
* Planting, pruning, mulching, mowing, and spraying as required
* Supervising on-site staff and contractors
* Planning daily operations and managing plant and equipment use
* Auditing work quality, tools, and site presentation
* Monitoring asset conditions and reporting using digital systems
* Promoting and ensuring compliance with WHS standards
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* Proven experience supervising grounds maintenance teams
* Extensive experience in parks and gardens maintenance
* Strong knowledge of horticultural and turf practices
* Experience operating and maintaining parks-related plant and equipment
* Sound understanding of WHS legislation and compliance
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Confidence engaging with members of the public
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Qualifications & Licences
* Certificate III in Horticulture, Irrigation, Turf Management, or Sports Turf Management
* White Card
* Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence (WA)
* Certificate III in Supervision or Certificate IV in Frontline Management
* Senior First Aid Certificate
* Advanced Traffic Management (including Stop/Go)
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 6:00am - 2:06pm (Summer: September - May)
