We have an exciting opportunity within Brooks Transport for a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as National Transport Manager.
We are seeking a hands-on transport industry leader with strong operational expertise, proven people leadership capability, and the ability to drive performance, safety, and efficiency across a national network.
Main Responsibilities/duties will include:
Establish objectives, targets and KPIs for the business. Monitor and continually improve performance.
Establish open dialogue with all stakeholders. Maintain channels of communication and disseminate relevant information to the workforce as required to support operations.
Establish an effective team and delegate duties as required. Ensure collaborative engagement throughout the dedicated business area.
Give clear instructions, monitoring workmanship and maintaining discipline.
Delegate activities appropriately by acknowledging employees' abilities and shortcomings and showing by a hands‐on approach in both technical and menial tasks.
Oversee day to day operations of the business area.
Provide effective solutions for improvement areas of the business.
Promote safe work practices in line with WHS laws, IMS, Employment laws and Company Policies and Procedures.
Visibly lead the workforce. Be present at required functions, meetings and formal gatherings. Facilitate effective communication with the workforce.
Manage the quality confidentiality and privacy of documents
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior transport management role
Demonstrated success leading large, geographically dispersed teams across office, operational, and driver workforces at a national level
Strong knowledge of transport operations and industry regulations
Sound understanding of business functions including finance, HR, and operations
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‐solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership capability
