Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time, Education Officer: Syllabus Implementation K-10 to commence ASAP. This is a 3 year contract position (with a possibility of extension).

Your New Role

The Education Officer: Syllabus Implementation ensures the ongoing provision of high quality Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wagga Wagga through a focus on leading the implementation of new K-10 syllabuses due for implementation in 2027.

A CEDWW Education Officer: The work plan of the Education Officer is informed by both System and School Strategic and Annual Plans, in negotiation with their Leader. Whilst each Education Officer will support schools through dedicated fields of service, their work will not necessarily be restricted to these areas but also responsive to presenting needs.

6. Salary: Grade 8 $125,800.00 - $159,172.18 base excluding superannuation (dependent upon experience and qualifications)

Selection Criteria

7. Postgraduate academic qualifications additional to initial teacher training.
8. NESA Accreditation at Proficient Status or beyond
9. Successful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check

Skills and Experience

10. Deep knowledge of the new NSW K-10 syllabuses released in 2024
11. Familiarity and experience in utilising the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Digital Curriculum and the Teaching and Learning Support materials available
12. Experience in leading syllabus implementation at the school and/or system level
13. Effective interpersonal and organisational skills
14. Experience as a classroom teacher and/or school leader in the primary and/ or secondary education sector
15. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
16. Capacity to work collaboratively with other professionals in non-school based positions e.g. professional associations
17. Experience in the analysis and use of student data to inform improvement initiatives
18. Capacity to communicate effectively through a variety of media and different forms of technology.
