Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tunnel Construction Manager to oversee and implement project works to achieve time, cost, quality, safety, and contractual targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure QA implementation on site
* Develop construction documentation
* Conduct safety risk assessments
* Review subcontractor IPC claims
* Provide technical review of subcontract packages
* Mentor the engineering team
* Review design packages
* Coordinate design for site use
* Develop look-ahead programs
* Procure materials
* Ensure tunnel procedures are followed
* Collaborate with supervisors
* Drive continuous improvement in construction methodologies
* Assist QA team
* Monitor progress of planned works
* Track off-site procurement items
* Participate in resource planning
* Communicate the program to all relevant internal parties
* Foster a strong team culture
* Coordinate Graduate and Site Engineers
* Lead the development of Graduate and Site Engineers
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders
Requirements
A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Project Engineer with a proven track record in tunnels/underground/heavy civil construction projects or similar. Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Positive attitude, initiative, creative problem-solving skills, self-motivation, results-driven, ability to manage multiple issues, deliver productive outcomes, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively, skilled at meeting deadlines and targets, prioritizing tasks under pressure, excellent organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, able to work quickly, effectively, and positively in demanding environments, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
