Children and Youth Services Librarian Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Children and Youth Services Librarian to lead our efforts in serving the youngest members of our community.
This role provides enriching experiences and resources for children and youth, igniting curiosity, sparking imagination, and empowering young learners to explore the world through books, technology, and creative programming.
* Develop and implement innovative and interactive programs and services for children and youth, including storytimes, STEAM activities, literacy workshops, and youth engagement and programming.
* Curate and maintain a vibrant and diverse collection of children's and young adult materials, ensuring they reflect the interests and needs of our community.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Bachelor's degree or graduate diploma in a relevant field, with a focus on youth services.
* Previous experience working with children and/or youth in a library or educational setting, with a passion for youth development and literacy promotion.
* Strong knowledge of children's and young adult literature, as well as current trends in youth services programming.
