Communications Coordinator - Central Australian Academic Science Network

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote the Central Australian Academic Science Network.


About the Role:

* Develop and implement communication strategies to engage stakeholders and promote the network's activities.
* Plan and manage events, including conferences, workshops, and seminars, to bring together researchers, policymakers, and community members.
* Design and produce high-quality visual content, including graphics, videos, and social media posts, to promote the network's activities and achievements.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Collaborate with researchers and other stakeholders to develop engaging content, including written, audio, and video materials.


Requirements:

* Diploma in marketing, communications, science communication, public health, or equivalent experience in a corporate or not-for-profit setting.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement through integrated marketing communications, including PR, print, digital, and social media channels, and events.
* Proven ability to work with complex or technical information to create high-quality content, including written, audio, and video materials.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Familiarity with online design and marketing tools, including WordPress, Canva, and Adobe Rush.
* Understanding of issues affecting the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people living in Central Australia.
* A current NT Ochre card (Working with Children) or ability to apply for one if required.
* Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or full legal working rights within Australia.
* Full vaccination against COVID-19 or willingness to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.
* Willingness to obtain a National Police Check clearance as a condition of employment.
