About the Role
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing community based occupational therapy interventions for a wide range of client groups including those receiving :
* Commonwealth Home Support Funding
* Home Care Package Funding
* National Disability Insurance Services Funding
* Private Fee for Service Clients
Services include, but are not limited to :
* Home based occupational therapy assessments including all areas of activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety
* Client assessment, intervention and report writing
* Equipment applications for government equipment programs
* Minor and major home modification recommendations with relevant diagrams
* Communicating assessed needs clearly and precisely to clients
Qualifications and Experience :
* Relevant degree with minimum 1 year experience
* Registered Occupational Therapist with Occupational Therapy Board and AHPRA (and ability to maintain registration)
* Current C or CA class Driver’s license
* Hold and maintain relevant security clearances
Core Competencies :
* Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate plans for interventions and equipment for clients
* Demonstrated experience in developing and providing reports relevant to the role
* Ability to implement recommendations
* Professionally work with internal and external stakeholders to meet client needs
The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate entitlement to work in Australia, and to disclose any pre-existing injury or disease which may be adversely affected by undertaking the inherent requirements of the position.
All offers of employment are subject to the satisfactory completion of relevant screening and background checks, including an Australian Federal Police check, an NDIS disability worker screening check, and attainment of a Blue Card for working with children, prior to commencement.
