**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Infrastructure Manager to lead the delivery of road infrastructure projects and provide technical expertise in project management.
About the Role:
* Project manage the delivery of road infrastructure projects, providing technical expertise and support to design, planning, construction, and maintenance processes.
* Perform duties as Administrator for contract delivery, including reviewing contract documents, analyzing offers, managing preconstruction, construction, and maintenance activities.
* Determine engineering requirements, including materials, critical components, and systems involved in supporting project management and delivery.
* Evaluate and design safe traffic devices in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental guidelines.
* Lead a team of engineers and technical staff in delivering Road Maintenance Performance Contracts for local government areas.
* Maintain and apply relevant standards, policies, guidelines, and legislative requirements necessary for planning, design, and construction of road infrastructure projects.
* Manage liaison and communication with internal and external stakeholders on transport infrastructure delivery activities.

About Us:
This initiative aims to reduce crash severity and frequency, particularly between Gympie and Cairns, through measures such as wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures. Project prioritization will be guided by the Bruce Highway Advisory Council and both levels of government, with a corridor-wide fatigue management strategy informing rest area and stopping place upgrades.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Registration as a professional engineer with RPEQ
* Proven experience in project management and leadership roles
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
