The Role The Caretaker will assume primary responsibility for the security and upkeep of the main property, with minimal duties across two adjacent properties. Reporting to Management, this role involves general property maintenance, cutting firewood, and coordinating external tradesmen. Furthermore, the position requires a commitment to general animal husbandry, specifically the care of horses and ponies (which involves feeding, medicating, and rugging/un-rugging as needed), alongside tending to the chicken coop for feeding, watering, and collecting eggs. Supporting farmhands with fencing repairs and weed control is also required. The Gardener role centres heavily on meticulous grounds maintenance and presentation. Daily activities include all facets of gardening, such as precision mowing and trimming, dedicated watering schedules, and ensuring the irrigation system remains fully operational. A significant component is the management of the Olive Grove, demanding regular mowing, precise fertilisation using a dosing system, spraying with a tractor, and coordinating specialised pruning activities. Maintaining effective and clear communication with the Management Team is crucial for the seamless operation of the enterprise.
