The Marion Hotel is seeking a Marketing and Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination and execution of venue events. In addition, this person will also manage the hotel's marketing activity in collaboration with the Hurley Hotel Group marketing team. The position combines marketing, events, relationship management and requires strong organisational skills, communication and the ability to multi-task.
About the Role
Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will be responsible for the hotel's marketing activity and the coordination of major events. You will work closely with the functions manager, food service team, management team and group marketing team.
This is a casual position with regular weekday hours + event days such as Mother's Day and Christmas.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate major hotel events from concept through to execution
Coordinate venue sponsorships of various local sporting communities
Plan for and chair weekly marketing meetings
Manage the Marion Hotel's social media presence across multiple platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
Coordinate design and marketing requirements between the hotel and group marketing department
About the Applicant
Experience in marketing and events within the hospitality industry, or a strong F&B background
Strong organisational and administrative capability
A knack for social media
Confident in managing multiple deadlines and prioritising tasks
