Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting and Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will support senior financial accountants in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality outcomes. As the primary escalation point, you'll play a pivotal role in resolving client queries and ensuring service excellence across the board.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is solutions-focused, and committed to driving positive client experiences-both internally and externally. You will be responsible for leading and managing senior financial accountants, supporting them in acting as the primary operational contacts for their allocated client portfolios and participating in service level reviews and ad-hoc meetings.

* Oversee timely resolution of client queries, escalating complex issues to the Head of Financial Reporting & Tax Services when necessary.
* Ensure accurate and timely testing of templates, processes, and system changes to maintain compliance with legislation and internal policies.
* Provide transition support for the setup of new portfolios or restructures in accordance with client instructions.
* Conduct formal supervision and self-assessment testing of procedures and deliverables in line with the risk management framework.
* Drive and contribute to initiatives focused on improving operational efficiency and reducing risk across the business.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

* Minimum 6-8 years of management experience within the Australian financial services industry, with strong expertise in financial reporting and APRA compliance, particularly in relation to unit trusts and superannuation funds.
* CA or CPA qualified.
* In-depth knowledge of fund accounting, financial and APRA reporting, and the associated operational risk and compliance requirements within a client service environment.
* Solid understanding of tax principles as they apply to unit trusts and their impact on unitholders.
* Up-to-date knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and APRA reporting obligations.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including flexible work arrangements and opportunities for professional growth and development.
