A large government agency seeks an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to maintain integrity and confidentiality of data and information systems.
About the Role Join a growing cyber team as part of the Cyber Security Lead to design and implement security controls, embed DevSecOps practices, and enhance detection and response across the organisation.
What you’ll do
Engineer and implement security controls across cloud and enterprise platforms (Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, endpoint security).
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and secure the software supply chain.
Automate security controls using IaC and scripting.
Develop and tune analytics rules, playbooks, and monitoring in Microsoft Sentinel.
Manage vulnerabilities, dependencies, and security tooling.
Support incident response, root‑cause analysis, and remediation.
Conduct policy compliance checks and contribute to threat intelligence and threat hunting activities.
Essential Criteria
Experience in cyber security operations and engineering, including monitoring, incident response, and implementing security controls.
Ability to embed security into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), including secure design and code scanning tools.
Strong knowledge of Azure security technologies: Microsoft Sentinel, Defender suite, Entra ID and Intune.
Proficiency with IaC and automation (Bicep, ARM, Terraform) and scripting (PowerShell/Python).
