Our Journey:
The Department of Paediatrics, Monash University is partnering with Monash Children’s Hospital to provide appointments in Developmental Paediatrics to support a new clinic for children who experience Developmental Regression. This is a new fixed term three-year position, research project funded by NHMRC, with the purpose of developing research integrated clinical service for children who are referred to Developmental Paediatrics because they have lost Developmental skills early in life.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Speech Pathologist Grade 2 (or 3 if suitably qualified) to take up a role in our Developmental Regression Clinic, Developmental Paediatrics. We are looking for someone who is keen to play a key role in supporting a new clinic for children who experience Developmental Regression, working in a professional and supportive team environment.

About You:
The successful applicant will be the speech pathologist, working in a team with developmental paediatricians, a clinical geneticist, paediatric neurologist, psychologist and a clinic coordinator. The role would include conducting speech and language assessments, providing excellent communication with families, children and other professionals, writing assessment reports, and contributing to teaching and training within the team. Providing recommendations for families and their community health and education professionals will be an important part of the role.
What You Need:
1. Successfully completed an accredited Australian entry level Speech Pathology qualification or successfully completed an Overseas Qualification Assessment with Speech Pathology Australia within the previous two years
2. Eligible for membership as a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) with Speech Pathology Australia
