Located in the heart of Brunswick Heads, the Brunswick Hotel is a much-loved local landmark known for its vibrant atmosphere, live music, food and beverage offering, and strong connection to the community. As a key hospitality venue in the Northern Rivers, the hotel attracts a mix of locals, travellers, and event-goers, offering an energetic, creative, and fast-paced environment.

We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to take ownership of the hotel's marketing activity, driving brand awareness, foot traffic, and customer engagement across digital, social, and in-venue channels.

The Role

The Marketing Specialist will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimising marketing campaigns and promotions for the Brunswick Hotel. This role is ideal for a hands-on marketer who enjoys seeing ideas through from concept to execution and thrives in a hospitality setting.

You will lead day-to-day marketing activities, manage digital and social media channels, coordinate promotional campaigns, and support business growth through data-driven marketing strategies. The role also requires basic graphic design capability to produce branded content for digital platforms and in-venue promotions.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing Specialist's duties will include, but are not limited to:

Lead the planning and delivery of marketing initiatives that promote the Brunswick Hotel's food, beverage, events, and entertainment offerings
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and in-venue channels to increase brand awareness and customer engagement
Manage the hotel's social media presence and digital platforms, ensuring consistent branding, tone, and messaging
Create, coordinate, and oversee marketing content production, including artwork, copy, promotional assets, and media content, within agreed timelines and budgets
Analyse customer engagement, campaign performance, and sales data to evaluate effectiveness and guide future marketing activity
Monitor market trends, customer behaviour, and local competition to identify opportunities for growth, promotions, and new experiences
Conduct market research and gather insights to support the development of new offerings, events, and promotional strategies
Work closely with management to provide marketing advice that supports business objectives, pricing strategies, promotions, and sales initiatives
Support business growth by contributing to marketing plans, budgets, and ongoing promotional programs
Liaise with external suppliers, designers, media partners, and agencies as required to deliver marketing activities
Produce basic graphic design assets for digital platforms and in-venue use using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite

Qualifications & Skills

Degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a marketing role, with a strong focus on digital marketing and campaign execution
Experience in hospitality, entertainment, or retail is highly desirable
Proven ability to plan and manage multiple marketing campaigns simultaneously
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and website management
Demonstrated project management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Analytical mindset with experience using marketing and social analytics tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and insights to stakeholders
Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
