About the Opportunity
La Vita Care are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to support our client in the Bacchus Marsh area. Our client lives with her supportive husband. She acquired a brain injury in 2019 and has limited cognitive ability. She requires assistance with mobility and all activities of daily living. Our client is passionate about music, interested in Star Wars and enjoys going to concerts. She also enjoys travelling, cooking, baking and singing.
Your role as a support work will be to aid with all aspects of daily living including personal care, hoisting, meals, assistance with household tasks and meaningful engagement within her home and community environments.
This is an exciting opportunity as you provide our clients with support that enables them to live a truly independent life in their own home.

Skills & Experience
* Cert IV in Disability a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6 mths experience in the sector
* Proven can‑do, positive and willing attitude
* Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
* Friendly disposition and engaging manner
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current First Aid Training
* Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
* COVID‑19 Immunisation
* Access to a car and a current driver's license (you may be required to transport clients in your own vehicle, but you will be reimbursed per kilometre for this )
* Ability to work autonomously
