Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) is Australia's largest rural water corporation responsible for storing, managing and delivering water across most of northern Victoria. GMW provides more than 39,000 services to about 25,000 customers in its operating region.
About the role
This exciting opportunity exists within our Infrastructure Delivery Services Division, based in Tatura. We are responsible for the strategic management of GMW's infrastructure and assets to ensure appropriate asset management policy, planning and coordinated delivery of capital and maintenance programs is achieved.
The Electrician's role is primarily responsible for the delivery of ongoing electrical breakdowns, maintenance, installation and technical support of all Electrical Systems within GMW's assets infrastructure.
We would like to hear from you if you meet the following:
* Hold an current Electrical A Grade Licence with 2+years post qualification experience
* Ability to inspect and identify faults in electrical assets, and undertake repairs to damaged equipment
* Proficient in examining and detecting issues in electrical systems, as well as conducting repairs on damaged equipment such as motors, and variable speed drives.
* Remove From Here and put into desired
* Knowledge of contemporary electrical wiring regulations and standards.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings/schematics and process diagrams, including PID's.
* Generator operation and maintenance experience.
* Proficient in planning and delivering maintenance works with internal employees and external contractors.
Advantageous (desired) skills:
* Knowledge in Autodesk Electrical CAD will be advantageous
* Knowledge of HV electrical systems
* Knowledge of Solar and battery installations
* Knowledge and ability in the maintenance of instrumentation, programmable logic controllers (PLC), remote telemetry units (RTUs), telemetry and radio systems, and associated programming applications.
