We are a reputable company in the mining industry, committed to safety, operational excellence, and sustainable growth. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field and Workshop Supervisor with a fitter trade background to lead our maintenance and workshop teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities in the field and workshop to ensure equipment reliability and safety
* Supervise maintenance personnel, including fitters and trade staff, providing guidance and support
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
* Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and effectively communicate business requirements relating to assets
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
* Work collaboratively with site teams to identify and resolve operational issues
* Source and order parts and materials needed for maintenance and repairs
* Collaborate with the QLD Maintenance Superintendent to schedule labour and resources for the most cost-effective production and maintenance outcomes.
Ensure purchase orders are requested/generated for all approved purchases.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Trade (mandatory)
* Proven experience in maintenance supervision within the mining industry or heavy equipment environments
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent computer skills CMMS and CAT SIS experience is highly regarded
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in mining maintenance
* Ability to work effectively and collaboratively both in the field and workshop environment
* Good communication and organisational skills
