Pathology Collector Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathology Collector to join our team. As a Pathology Collector, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact on the health of Australians.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients with empathy and drive, ensuring great customer service and quality healthcare. Key responsibilities include:
* Collecting samples with care and attention
* Maintaining meticulous records for every patient and sample
* Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
* Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
* Liaising with various individuals, including customers, clinic staff, and couriers
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
* Organizational skills, strong time management, and attention to detail
* The ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic
* A valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
* A working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen, or a valid visa with permission to work
* Vaccine preventable disease evidence, such as Hepatitis B, is a requirement of this role
