The Sous Chef Role:
As Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen including management of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training. Guide and direct the kitchen brigade to ensure consistency of standards and a high level of performance and presentation.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that the quality of our output exceeds customer expectations.
* Guiding the kitchen team to ensure consistent quality in food, appearance, and taste.
* Maintaining the quality of food preparation
* Developing the skills of all kitchen employees through appropriate training, coaching, or mentoring

* Relevant Qualifications in Commercial Cookery
* Experience working in high-end restaurant environments and a strong work ethic
* Ability to take direction from senior staff and a willingness to educate junior staff
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Time management, task prioritisation and resource scheduling
