Road Supervisor - Port Kembla, NSW
Job Description / The Role – Toll Group seeks a proactive and experienced Road Supervisor to lead our local cartage operations in Port Kembla. This role involves ensuring the safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery of transport services, supervising drivers, managing fleet allocations, and optimizing fleet utilization.
Duties and Responsibilities / a day in the life of a Road Supervisor
* Coordinate and supervise drivers and vehicle allocations to meet customer load requirements.
* Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS legislation.
* Liaise with customers, internal teams, and drivers to ensure service excellence.
* Monitor and maintain equipment condition and vehicle maintenance.
* Lead safety initiatives, toolbox meetings, and continuous improvement programs.
* Manage driver training, performance, conduct safety audits, and compliance.
* Participate in weekly and monthly planning, reporting, and review activities.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
* Previous experience in a similar role within the Transport/Logistics industry.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Experience with Operations, CoR, Fatigue Management (desirable but not essential).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
* Computer literacy in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook.
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
