About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Systems Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects. In this role, you will drive innovation and help clients realise value from their data. Experience in the Software Development lifecycle and a background in digital project delivery, you will support project teams and clients by offering expert technical advice, solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage and prioritise tasks to ensure timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards through reviews and testing.
- Ensure projects are executed according to ATSYS frameworks and achieving defined milestones.
- Mentor graduate engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Design and implement solutions using historian systems to optimise data collection, analysis and operations.
- Proactively identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans and ensure minimal impact on project outcomes.
- Foster trust and collaboration by maintaining open communication with clients and stakeholders, addressing their needs and expectations.
- Share insights, lessons learned and best practices to enhance team performance and encourage collaboration.
- Promote safety awareness, ensure compliance with protocols and identify potential risks.
- Provide technical input and accurate cost estimates for proposals and project deliverables to meet client requirements.
- Research and integrate new technologies and methods to improve processes and team output.
- Continuously learn about advancements in vendor technologies and industry trends to apply the latest tools and practices.
About You
We are looking for someone that has:
- A bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
- Hands-on experience in digital engineering systems with technical skills in:
- Data management/engineering (PTC ThingWorx/Vuforia, AVEVA/OSI PI System, AVEVA Asset Performance Management (AMPLA))
- Database systems (SQL Server, SSRS/SSIS)
- Reporting and visualisation (Power BI)
- Scripting (.NET – C#, Visual Basic) and programming (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, VBA)
- System architecture (Windows Server)
- Design documentation
- Testing and development
- A proactive and self-motivated working style.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to excel in cross-functional environments.
- Attention to detail with an emphasis on consistency.
- Positive mindset and can-do attitude.
- Experience in PI Historian or other historian systems (desirable).
- Heavy industry awareness (desirable).
