About the Role
A well-established organisation in South-West Sydney is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Officer for a 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is confident managing payroll operations independently.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for over 250 employees
* Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation and internal policies
* Maintain and update payroll systems and employee records
* Interpret and apply employment legislation and enterprise agreements
* Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and financial reporting
* Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth payroll operations
* Respond to employee queries regarding pay, entitlements, and deductions
About You
* 3-5 years of experience in end-to-end payroll experience (Australian experience)
* Proficiency with payroll systems (Preceda experience highly regarded)
* Strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and within a team
