**New Forests Timber Products** is a member of the New Forests Group and operates across the Asia-Pacific region with primary exports from the Australian ports of Burnie and Launceston in Tasmania, Portland in Victoria, and Albany in Western Australia, as well as ports in Southeast Asia and New Zealand. New Forests is a global investment manager of nature-based real assets and natural capital strategies. Established in 2005 to offer institutional investment strategies that create value from the sustainable management of forests and enhancement of natural capital, New Forests manages a diversified portfolio of sustainable timber plantations and conservation areas, carbon and conservation finance projects, agriculture, timber processing and infrastructure.
**About the role**
In joining this small, supportive team and reporting to the
**What you will be doing**:
- Confidently interact with port service providers and asset managers, and be the source of all up-to-date supply chain information
- Work with the finance team in producing letters of credit, monthly reconciliations, budget preparation and tracking
- Manage invoicing, woodflow reports, port stockpiles (virtually) and third-party certification processes
- Prepare export and shipping documents, and customer sales contracts
**What we are looking for**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded
- Experience with complex financial and trade data management, preferably in Excel
- Sales administration and legal documentation experience, preferably in international trade
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Proficient administration and computer skills
- Ability to work in a team environment, building strong relationships, also able to work alone, as needed
- Ability to ensure high client service standards are maintained with great attention to detail
- A friendly and proactive approach with a 'can-do attitude'
- Ability and willingness to undertake some domestic travel (e.g. Albany, WA; Launceston, TAS; Mt Gambier, SA).
