What You'll Be Doing:
Study Skills & Academic Literacy
* Design and deliver engaging study skills programs (academic writing, time management, exam prep, critical thinking)
* Run workshops, one‐on‐one sessions, and group support
* Build and manage an online study skills hub
* Partner with academic staff to embed study skills into courses
* Support students with academic integrity, referencing, and research skills
Information Literacy
* Teach students how to find, evaluate, and use academic sources
* Deliver library and database training sessions
* Integrate research skills into orientation and assessments
Library Management
* Establish and manage AIAT's Library Management System
* Oversee physical and digital collections
* Manage acquisitions, vendors, and resource sourcing
* Deliver library orientation sessions
* Support staff and leadership with research and benchmarking
Student Engagement & Support
* Identify and support at‐risk students
* Create a welcoming, high‐impact study environment
* Track engagement and continuously improve services
* Contribute to library strategy, policies, and continuous improvement
* Promote library services across the institute
* Represent AIAT in professional networks
What We're Looking For
* We're after someone who blends academic support + systems thinking + student engagement:
* Experience in academic libraries or higher education
* Strong understanding of academic literacy and student support frameworks
* Ability to design and deliver workshops/programs
* Experience with library systems, databases, and digital resources
* Confident communicator who can work with students AND academic staff
* Passion for improving student outcomes and learning experience
Bonus if you have:
* Experience building a library from scratch or scaling services
* Knowledge of ESOS / Higher Education standards
* Experience with online learning platforms (Moodle, etc.)
