About Austin Pathology - Shepparton
Austin Health Pathology Shepparton is a core laboratory offering services of Biochemistry, Blood Transfusion, Haematology and Microbiology services. The Shepparton Laboratory operates 24/7 supporting GV Health hospital, as well as providing services to surrounding hospitals, GPs, and specialists from across the region.
About the role
The Shepparton Laboratory is seeking two enthusiastic scientists to join our team. A regular day will see you:
* Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as per laboratory procedures
* Maintain training and competency levels in accordance with documented laboratory methods, procedures and policies
* Maintain relevant scientific and technological knowledge and skills
* Participate in shift and on-call roster
About you
You will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring with you:
* A commitment to Austin Health values.
* Bachelor of Laboratory Medicine degree, or alternative/equivalent science degree recognised by AIMS, AACB, AAM or ASC
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
* Ability to cope with continuous change
