Salary offered: AUD 85,000 per year plus superannuation.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Execute all aspects of landscape construction and ongoing maintenance across residential and commercial projects
2. Deliver high-quality landscaped outcomes, including lawns, gardens, irrigation systems, and hardscape features
3. Read, interpret, and work from landscape plans, drawings, and construction documentation to ensure works align with design intent and project specifications
4. Plan and coordinate landscape works, including material and plant selection, scheduling, and site preparation
5. Set out and install hardscape and softscape elements in accordance with approved designs
6. Construct paved and gravel areas, retaining walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and natural timber landscape structures
7. Build custom and bespoke landscape features, including concrete and metal structures
8. Prepare soil, seedbeds, and growing areas; carry out planting of trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, and bulbs
9. Establish and maintain lawn areas through turfing, re-turfing, seeding, and topsoil preparation
10. Determine hydraulic requirements and install, test, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, including pumps and meters
11. Install and maintain low-voltage landscape lighting systems
12. Lead, supervise, and support on-site landscaping teams, assisting with daily task planning and site coordination
13. Communicate effectively with clients, other trades, and internal team members to ensure smooth project delivery
14. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment at all times
15. Ensure full compliance with WHS legislation and workplace safety standards
Skills and experience required for the role:
Experience/Qualifications
A Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or equivalent international qualification or at least 3 years full-time relevant experience.
Great teamwork attitude. Experience across commercial and high-end residential landscaping projects. Strong understanding of landscape construction techniques. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and high personal work standards. Physically fit and able to work outdoors. Strong commitment to safe work practices and WHS compliance
