Founded in 2017, Axis Mineral Services Pty Ltd ('Axis') specialise in crushing & ore sorting services for all requirements in Mining, Milling, Processing and Civil applications. Axis are currently running crushing circuits, ROM Management and general site works operations across a number of projects in the Goldfields regions, within the Mining and Civil Construction sectors.
We're currently looking for experienced Welders and Metal Fabricators to join our rapidly growing business in both FIFO and residential positions, based in Kalgoorlie and the Northern Goldfields.
You'll be involved in the fabrication, repair, maintenance, and modification of fixed and mobile crushing plant equipment. This opportunity offers a mix of workshop and field-based work, providing plenty of variety and exposure to a broad range of maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities include
* Fabrication and repair of chutes, guards, wear components and structural items
* Reading, interpreting and creating fabrication drawings
* Air arc gouging and welding repairs
* Hardfacing and wear protection works
* Maintenance and modification of crushing and processing equipment
* Working with Hardox and other wear-resistant steels
* Supporting shutdown and breakdown maintenance activities
* Carrying out basic mechanical maintenance tasks when required
* Maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards
To be successful, you will have
* Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)
* Strong welding and metal fabrication experience
* Ability to fabricate and redesign components without OEM drawings
* Experience with air arc gouging processes
* Experience using Lincoln LN22 wire feed equipment or similar
* Knowledge of Hardox 450, QT steels and hardfacing applications
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
Highly regarded
* Previous experience working on crushing, screening or processing equipment
* Exposure to mining or heavy industrial environments
* HR Driver's Licence
* Experience on mobile crushing circuits
