Join to apply for the Field Service Representative role at Saab Australia.2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants.The roleAs part of our Naval Combat Systems group, the Field Services Representative (FSR) will be responsible for delivering waterfront services to support Saab combat system elements delivered to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). These activities include help desk, Urgent Defect (URDEF) investigations, and other technical support. The role provides a direct interface to ship crew and waterfront operations. It also involves providing technical support during build or upgrade activities such as First of Class (FOC) installations and testing.Further responsibilities include:Providing technical support for Saab combat system platforms, including ANZAC, LHD, AOR, DDG & OPV ship classes, and related Land Based Test Sites (LBTS).Assisting with help desk and URDEF enquiries, including remote support.Supporting the Operating and Technical Lead to collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Systems Engineering teams to determine complex technical solutions.Undertaking FOC technical support activities such as installation, commissioning, and testing activities, often working with other support teams.Supporting maintenance activities during system support and assessments.Ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, safety, and quality systems.Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work, 9-day fortnight, and part-time work (minimum 0.8 FTE) will be considered.About YouYour skills, experience, and qualifications should include:Certificate IV in Engineering, Electrical, or Electronic Trade.Diploma of Front Line or Management Leadership, or similar.Extensive industry experience with RAN assets.Expertise in planning and executing maintenance activities, including ITPs, JSEAPs, and standard tasks.Ability to travel interstate and overseas.Experience validating technical documentation.Knowledge of RAN combat system operational needs.Applicants must hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance, preferably NV1 level.About UsSaab Australia provides defence, security, and cyber solutions, with over 30 years of experience in complex systems integration, supporting defence forces and civil industries globally.Culture And BenefitsWe employ over 1000 Australians, fostering a culture of excellence, professional growth, and work-life balance.
