Groundsman – Araluen Botanic Park, Roleystone, Perth WA
Araluen Botanic Park, a place of natural beauty nestled in the serene landscapes of Roleystone, Perth WA, is seeking a dedicated Groundsman to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about horticulture and maintaining the aesthetic and ecological health of our renowned botanic haven.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the park including rubbish removal and BBQ areas.
* Perform gardening tasks such as mowing, trimming, fertilizing, mulching, weeding, pruning, and watering.
* Ensure pathways and green spaces are free from debris and litter.
* Safely store and handle chemicals and garden equipment per OH&S guidelines.
* Support Park events with setup and traffic control.
* Work collaboratively with the park team to support events and special projects.
* Assist in guiding volunteers and participating in educational outreach programs as needed.
Requirements
* Commitment to the mission and values of Araluen Botanic Park.
* Experience in gardening and lawn maintenance including the use of relevant chemicals and equipment.
* Familiarity with OHS regulations and safe work practices.
* Licenses to drive tractors and handle chemicals (ChemCert Chemical Accreditation).
* WorkCover WA Workplace Health and Safety General Induction White Card.
