Our Student360 Program is seeking two Senior Business Analyst s (Functional Consultant) to join a dynamic and complex digital transformation team. This role requires a deep understanding of higher education business processes and extensive Salesforce product knowle dge.
* Salary Package: From $119,056 to $132,475 (HEW Level 8) plus 17%
employer’s superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.
* Appointment Type: Two Full time, fixed term roles available until 31 st December 2026
* Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, Dharug land North Ryde
The Role
The Student 360 Program will deliver a new Salesforce platform to enhance end-to-end student engagement and service delivery at Macquarie University. It will provide a unified, 360-degree view of each student, support the transformation of business processes, enable personalised, context-specific services, and deliver insights across the student journey to inform continuous improvement. The platform will also replace legacy systems and provide a modern, scalable foundation aligned with the University's strategic goals.
In this role, you will play a key part in designing and delivering system functionality across Salesforce Core, Data Cloud, Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud. A strong understanding of higher education business processes and in-depth Salesforce product knowledge are essential.
Key responsibilities:
* Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and end users to gather and analyse business requirements.
* T ranslate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
* Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business requirements, technical solutions and business benefits.
* Support the design and development of scalable Salesforce solutions across Salesforce Core, Data Cloud, Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
* Configure and customise Salesforce applications to align with business processes, best practices, and program vision.
* Support the development and execution of test plans and test cases to ensur e system testing accurately validate s whether the system meets business requirements.
* Support change management and training activitie s to facilitate process and end user adoption.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation to support scope and requirements traceability, change control, adoption of future state processes, continuous improvement, and ongoing supportability of the platform.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, data models, and process and data flows.
* Provide post-implementation support and monitor system performance.
* Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and best practices and recommend process improvements.
About You
You are an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant with expertise in Salesforce Education Cloud (or other Industry Cloud) and/or Salesforce M arketing Cloud.
* Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce implementation projects, ideally across multiple industries or sectors.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in business process and technical contexts.
* Proven experience in designing end-to-end Salesforce solutions t o deliver business valu e.
* Proficiency in Salesforce configuration and integration tools.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
* Proven experience supporting system and user acceptance testing, and change management and training activities, to facilitate successful system implementation and process adoption.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project, business process, user support, and system support documentation.
* Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders with varying levels of technical literacy to deliver successful outcomes.
* Working knowledge of digital transformation con cepts an d Agile delivery methodologies (e. g., Scru m, SAFe ).
Certification in agile methodologies ( e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner ) is highly desirable.
