About the role
Trentham Groundworks is seeking a qualified and experienced Gardener to join our team in Trentham, Victoria. This position will involve maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and landscaping on our clients properties. If you have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing
* Undertake regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and pruning
* Implement seasonal planting and landscaping changes to keep gardens looking their best
* Identify and treat plant diseases and pests using appropriate organic or chemical solutions
* Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools to a high standard
* Provide recommendations to clients on garden design and plant selection
* Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
* Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
* Formal qualification in Horticulture or equivalent industry experience
* Demonstrated expertise in garden maintenance and landscaping techniques
* Strong knowledge of Australian native and exotic plants, their care and growth requirements
* Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and designs
* Proficient in the safe operation of gardening equipment and tools
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Good physical fitness to undertake manual gardening tasks
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Full drivers licence
