About the role
Trentham Groundworks is seeking a qualified and experienced Gardener to join our team in Trentham, Victoria. This position will involve maintaining and enhancing the beautiful gardens and landscaping on our clients properties. If you have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing
Undertake regular garden maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, weeding, and pruning
Implement seasonal planting and landscaping changes to keep gardens looking their best
Identify and treat plant diseases and pests using appropriate organic or chemical solutions
Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools to a high standard
Provide recommendations to clients on garden design and plant selection
Ensure work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist colleagues as needed
What we're looking for
Formal qualification in Horticulture or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated expertise in garden maintenance and landscaping techniques
Strong knowledge of Australian native and exotic plants, their care and growth requirements
Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and designs
Proficient in the safe operation of gardening equipment and tools
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Valuable physical fitness to undertake manual gardening tasks
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
Full drivers licence
