We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of technical accounting, commercial insight, and cross-functional collaboration.
You'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Day to Day You Will Be
* Managing the month-end close process, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
* Partnering with key functions such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Merchandise Planning to monitor expenditure and support business outcomes
* Analysing Brand P&Ls, providing meaningful variance commentary against budget and responding to stakeholder queries
* Researching and interpreting accounting standards and applying them to day-to-day operations
* Supporting half-year reviews and year-end audit processes, including liaison with external auditors
* Assisting with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and finance projects
* Contributing to team objectives and driving continuous improvement initiatives
About You
You're a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys being hands-on to solve problems.
We're looking for someone with:
* CA/CPA qualification (or working towards completion)
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar
* 2–3+ years' experience in financial accounting or audit (ASX-listed environment or mid/top-tier firm preferred)
* Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills
* Proven ability to troubleshoot, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
* Experience working with external auditors
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to business partnering
* A proactive mindset with exceptional attention to detail
