Early Childhood Development Initiative
The Early Childhood Development initiative is designed to provide children with cerebral palsy and similar conditions a comprehensive preparation for kindergarten.
* Fine motor skills development (handwriting, cutting)
* Social skills enhancement (sharing, taking turns, waiting)
* Attending skills improvement (listening, following instructions and routine)
* Literacy skills foundation
Program supervision will be provided by an Occupational Therapist and a Speech Pathologist.
This volunteering opportunity is ideal for students of Allied Health or Early Education seeking experience working with children with cerebral palsy.
