Meals on Wheels Fraser Community – Hervey Bay QLD
To be responsible for the creation of quality, nutritious meals for Clients of Meals on Wheels Fraser Community, and for assisting in the smooth running of a safe, sanitary and efficient kitchen
This role is required for early starts to enable the daily procedures to commence.
Flexibility to cover other roles will be advantageous.
The Role:
To competently prepare and cook nutritious meals according to dietary requirements of our clients using the MOWFC approved recipes
To monitor food and products so that quality is maintained to a high standard and to meet/exceed National Meal Guidelines
To assist in all kitchen operations, as per Kitchen Production Manager direction
To oversee and supervise Volunteers in all aspects of preparation & plating, when required
To ensure all HACCP & National Food Safety Legislative requirements are met/exceeded
To minimise waste and ensure recording of waste is up to date
Be able to work as part of a team, and also autonomously.
Sound written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, clients and customers.
Proven ability to plan and prioritise work to achieve required outcomes.

Skills & Qualifications
Mandatory
Certificate III in Cookery (minimum)
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated experience in a food service setting
Able to work within a Team environment and work autonomously, when required, with a mature mindset
Willing to learn and embrace change
C Driver's Licence
Previous experience in Community/Aged Care settings
