Dementia Support Specialist
Job Description:
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate professional to deliver high-quality dementia support services. You will work collaboratively with a team of experts to improve lives and implement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts each individual.
* Equip carers and clinicians with knowledge and resources to prevent and respond to behaviour changes.
* Develop reports that are contextualised to individual situations and people, effecting change on the ground and improving quality of life for people living with dementia.
* Undertake assessments to understand the holistic experience of the person and their care network.
* Work in partnership with a broader team to build capability across home and aged care sectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience supporting people living with dementia.
* Relevant qualification in Allied Health, Nursing, Aged Care or Mental Health.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
* Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
