ROUSSOS Recruitment proud to partner with a well regarded South Australian contractor to appoint a Project Engineer within their civil construction division, supporting a solid pipeline of SA Water infrastructure projects.
From their base in Adelaide's north west, this locally owned builder has grown a reputation for consistent, high quality work and has long standing relationships across the water and civil sectors. Their approach is structured but not corporate, giving engineers exposure to real project decision making rather than siloed responsibilities.
The Role
Working closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, you will play a key role in the delivery of SA Water pipeline and civil infrastructure projects across metropolitan South Australia.
You will be involved from early works through to commissioning, gaining exposure across both technical and commercial aspects of project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Engineering support across SA Water pipeline projects
* Coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
* Program tracking and progress reporting
* Procurement support and material scheduling
* Reviewing drawings, specifications, and scopes
* Managing RFIs, variations, and documentation
* Supporting quality assurance and compliance requirements
* Working closely with site teams to resolve day to day issues
About You
You may be a Project Engineer or Site Engineer with experience in water infrastructure or utilities looking to step into a role with broader responsibility and stronger mentorship.
You will ideally bring:
* Experience on SA Water or similar water infrastructure projects
* A civil engineering background
* Attention to detail with a practical mindset
* Confidence working alongside site teams
* Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
This role offers genuine development rather than being locked into one narrow function. Engineers are trusted early, exposed to the full project lifecycle, and supported by leaders who take the time to mentor rather than micromanage.
What you can expect:
* A secured pipeline of SA Water and civil infrastructure work
* Local projects with minimal travel requirements
* Early responsibility and hands on engineering exposure
* Collaboration between site and office
* Realistic workloads and achievable programs
* A business that values long term careers and internal progression
