Role Summary:
* Location: Footscray Hospital
* Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (2027 clinical year)
* Salary: HM25-30 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
Key responsibilities:
* Patient assessment, coordination and management in consultation with the treating consultant
* Appropriate communication with other health professionals including nursing and allied health staff
* Appropriate and clear communication and/or handover of patients under your care
* Provide leadership in the multidisciplinary setting
* Demonstrate initiative, efficient time management, education and learning
* Demonstrate commitment to quality and safety
* Teaching and supervision of residents, interns and medical students
* Accountable to the Head of Unit and/or responsible consultant surgeon for the care of all patients in the Department
About you:
* Primary medical degree
* Current general registration with AHPRA
* Previous surgical HMO experience
* Current employee Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
* Satisfactory Police Record Check
* Immunisation status clearance (including evidence of COVID‐19 vaccination)
* Image intensifier (C‐arm) license
